1000 Pageviews!

Hi guys,
Recently I noticed that pageviews have drastically sunken :(
So, let's make it to 1000 pageviews people! We're only 322 pageviews away!
I'd really appreciate it!
Otherwise, I'd also like to talk about this weird movie my sister and I watched last night: "Bright Star".
Here's the trailer:

The film was beautifully shot, but I didn't really like it...
I didn't like this movie because I didn't like the characters. I didn't like Keats (Ben Wishaw), the poet and protagonist,  because he was a creep and I didn't like Fanny (Abbie Cornish), his lover, because she was annoying. I just couldn't feel the chemistry between them. Like, when Keats leaves Fanny to go and make some money and Fanny is heartbroken, I could have cared less. And I don't know if it's because I watched "The Perfume" or not; I just was creeped out by Ben Wishaw as John Keats. He kept on saying weird things like "I only think about you and my death and I hope they occur simultaneously", or the way he was always sitting on the floor and acting autistic, (even though I don't know if John Keats really was autistic or not...). Fanny wasn't better though, she was always bragging about the horrible clothes she was wearing, which she'd designed herself. Yeech!

This picture is one of the less horrible dresses.
To the people who liked this movie, this is just my opinion, sorry.
All in all, the way it was shot and the cute little girl made it worthwhile, but the main characters left a lot to be desired. Oh yeah, and the kid from Nanny McPhee was in the movie and I think he had about two lines in the whole 2 hours the movie went on.

Moving on. You can finally buy and rent movies from iTunes Switzerland! Yay! The only problem: they're in German...
So, while I was looking at some movie previews, I noticed just how stupid the German dubbed trailers sound! They are always the same four voices: young man, young woman, old man and old woman.
I swear I recognized the voices from almost every second TV-show I watch!
The only other German voice is Squidward's; seriously, the German voice of Squidward from SpongeBob is everywhere!
On Scrubs; on Grey's Anatomy; on My Name is Earl; EVERYWHERE!
Also, the voice acting isn't that good. While in "Inception" Leonardo DiCaprio's character sounds deep and worried, the German voice sounds laid back and cool.
Here are a few comparisons; you don't need to understand it, just listen to the voices.
Inception:
English:

German:

One of my favorite examples: I swear in German, all four brothers and some of the others have exactly the same voice!
Four Brothers:
English:

German:

And finally; Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter's voice is dull and horrible in German, I feel really bad for those who can't speak English...
English:

German:

Horrible!
Anyways, have a nice day,

Poll Results 1!

Hey guys,
So, time's up and the poll results are in! (excitement)
And four of you voted, and all for the same place: New York!
So, I guess that's probably where I'm headed! Although Courtney Michelle Johnson had a good point, I should probably wait until I have an audition or a gig set up and then decide to go.
But first I'll have to wait a year... :( I found out only 9th graders get to go on foreign exchange, so not me.
But, since this Poll went so well, I have another question for you guys: Chinese or Russian?
I found out a few days ago, that I can take foreign language classes at school next year.
But only two of them really interested me: Chinese and Russian.
Why these two?
Because Chinese is the most spoken language in the world and I've been to China a few times and loved it!
Or Russian, because for some reason I've always been fascinated by Russia and it's culture.
Or maybe... Spanish? I don't know, but when I travel, all good TV-shows are in Spanish...
Or do you guys think it'd be a waste of time? Some of my friends say that their siblings took foreign language classes and couldn't say a word in it, if asked. But others say, that their siblings took foreign language classes and said it was one of their best decisions made, because they could study in different countries and speak the language.
So what do you guys think?
Elle ;)

NY or LA or... another place?

So, I've been thinking, I might do a foreign exchange year to the USA!
I'm thinking maybe I'll be able to get an audition there, but I'm not sure which place in the US, could possibly (if I'm lucky) fulfill my dream; New York or Los Angeles, or maybe another place...?
Or do you guys think the whole thing's a stupid idea?
It'd be great if you could answer the question in the poll above or write a comment below.
(If you think I should go to another place, write a comment below, of which one you think it should be)
I'll announce the results in a future blog.
Until then, did you people watch the newest Bruno Mars video "Grenade"?
The song is sad, but the video is heart breaking!
It features Bruno, in a suit pulling a piano through traffic and some gangsters (probably to win his girlfriend back) to his ex's house, just to find out his ex-girlfriend is snogging some other dude! After this discovery, he kills himself by playing his piano on the train tracks until the train runs him over.
So sad... :(
Watch the video and judge for yourself:

Anyways, you guys as excited as I am for The Fighter ?
I think it's coming out on the 10th of December... but I can't wait!
You see, my sister is a huge Mark Wahlberg fan and ha been getting me excited for it since the trailer came out. We've watched it so many times I'm sure we bot know it by heart now!
It's about Micky Ward's (Mark Wahlberg) road to the lightweight boxing world title.
Christian Bale stars as Micky's half-brother Dickie, who also tried to be a boxer, but got into drugs, so he taught his little brother Micky how to box.
Here's the trailer:

BTW: Christian Bale looks like a huge druggie in this movie! When I first watched the trailer I hardly recognized him! He doesn't look anything like Bruce Wayne from the Batman movies or the magician from "The Prestige". (I recommend both of those movies to you guys).

That's all for now, sorry for neglecting my blog for the past few days!

Lady GaGa's Monster Ball review; EXCLUSIVE!

What's up guys?
So, yesterday I was at the Hallenstadion in Zurich to see Lady GaGa, and it was AMAZING!
The opening act was "Semi Precious Weapons"; I had never heard of them before, but I had high hopes for them, all of which were fulfilled. They really excited you for Lady GaGa! They said, they'd met Lady GaGa in 2006 and that at their first concert, only 12 people came, at which point the lead singer screamed: "So, thank you, for being more than 12 f***ing people!"
Semi Precious weapons, I am now a fan of yours.
500 Michael Jackson songs later, the actual show started with "Dance in the Dark". (Funny thing: after every MJ song was done, the crowd went wild, 'cause they thought Lady GaGa was coming on, but then another one would just start :D)
Lady GaGa wore a purple leather jacket, fishnet stockings, boots and sunglasses.
It was a perfect way to start off the show! After that she sang "Just Dance", which I was able to film, but for some reason, cannot seem to upload!  I'll keep trying - but I want to publish this post so you guys'll have to wait :-(

My favorite thing about this concert was, it was like a musical. The plot was: Lady GaGa and her friends wanted to get to the "Monster Ball", but there car broke down, so they tried the subway, which dropped them in a weird place: Zurich. Lady GaGa wore, during that part, a see-through "Telephone" dress. Then a storm comes and strands Lady GaGa and her friends in a forest where a monster comes "a fake monster" as Lady GaGa describes it, the only way you can kill it is by taking a picture of it. Everyone got their phones out at once and snapped pictures. In the end Lady GaGa vanquishes it with her bra shooting sparks. In the end she makes it to the Monster Ball and sings "Poker Face" and "Bad Romance".
Here's a video from the Monster Ball Montreal, it was about the same:

My favorite parts of the concert were definitely:
1. When Lady GaGa screamed "Grüetzi Schweiz", as seen on my video.
2. When Lady GaGa cried while she sang "Speechless", 'cuz she was having an "emotional f***ing day" and that she loved her little monster or "kleine Monster", "petits monters".
3. When she told us we could all be could be famous, 'cause we were born that way.
4. The twister. Here's a picture:

All in all, this has to be one of the coolest experiences of my life!
I LOVE Lady GaGa,
So thanks Lady GaGa, for an unforgettable night!
One of your adoring little monsters,
Elle
P:S.: Sorry, this post was shorter than I'd hoped, but I don't have that much time :(; I might follow up on it later...
BTW: Here's a picture of the stage

Let's make it to 100 pageviews!

Hey people,
So, I've had this blog for two days and already 96 views (Is that a lot?)!
And since I have nothing better to do, I thought I'd post something new!
I just got finished watching the music video to Rihanna's "What's My Name", which I actually liked...
The song's catchy and I love Rihanna's new look, with red curly hair looks great in my opinion.
Also Drake can rap real good and of course Rihanna's amazing!
The music video features Drake buying something at a corner shop, when Rihanna comes in to buy some milk. Drake falls in love with her and the rest of the video is Rihanna dancing on the street and them together drinking wine and eating chinese food, just hanging out etc...
Then Rihanna goes to a party, with lots of red smoke and dances there.
I hope I summed it up well, here's the music video itself:

All in all, I really like this song, but the video's okay... I've seen more creative ones.

Moving on, today I'd also like to blog about how excited I am for tomorrow's Lady GaGa concert I'm going to!
I have absolutely no idea what it's gonna' be like! For one, because it's GaGa, and also because this'll be my first concert! I know, I'm 14 and this'll be my first concert, but I didn't really have time to ever go before, because I was studying for the "Gymiprüfung", a test in Switzerland which you have to pass, to get into the "Gymnasium", a school which allows you to go to university later, otherwise you'd have to go to Secondary School, which means you only have school 'till you're 15 and then you have to get a job as a postman or a bank teller etc...
And after that I had to study so as to stay in, so at least I have a good excuse.
I'll be doing an exclusive blog post on it tomorrow or two days after that...
And thirdly I also wanted to mention, that I started browsing a little and am now following:

So if you haven't heard of these blogs before I thought they were interesting and that you might wanna' check them out. (I think if you click on them you should be able to get to their blog...)
Please feel free to post comments or follow, 'cause I'd really enjoy that!

P.S.: LADY GAGA!!! So excited!

Hi Guys!

So I just wanna get to the point here: I, the "aspiring actress" and movie fanatic; have finally started a blog! Yay!
This page will include movie and maybe music reviews, as well as my thoughts, hopes and dreams about acting! If I ever make it out there, then let this sight be a helpful guideline for all those after me.

Now... Where should I start?
Maybe you should know a few things about me:
- I live in Switzerland, so far away from all auditions and castings; which makes me a little nervous...
- I've loved to act since I can remember and have been told I'm good at it since I've started ;)
- I love, love, love "The Dark Knight" and hope to somehow audition for it's sequel "The Dark Knight Rises"
- If acting doesn't work out for me I'd love to study psychology or movie directing
That's all I've got for the moment...

Anyway, on my way back from Las Vegas last Monday;  I attended a funeral there :( ; I watched this awesome movie: "Inception".
This movie combines one of my favorite directors (Christopher Nolan) and one of my favorite actors (Leonardo DiCaprio) and seemed very promising! So I switched it on and fell in love with it! It's gotta' be one of my favorite movies now! (I noticed I've been using the word "favorite" a lot lately; but that just shows you how good it is!)
Anyway; the plot is: A skilled thief, specialized in extracting information from the mind, through dreams, named Dominic (Dom) Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) along with point man Arthur (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), get hired by a powerful japanese businessman, Saito (Ken Watanabe) to perform an inception (= plant an idea into someone's mind). They're supposed to plant it in the son of Saito's dying corporate rival, Robert Fischer (Cilian Murphy), but a lot goes wrong...
Here's the trailer in case you wanted to watch it:

Even though I initially watched this movie for Leo DiCaprio, I liked Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character, Arthur, even more. I have to say, Joseph is a very talented actor and he's easy on the eyes too...
Also I liked Ellen Page as Ariadne, a student who designs the dream worlds. She was really cool, telling Leo to cut the crap and except, that he didn't get over his wife's death. (Don't worry, you find that out early in the movie).
Otherwise I also thought Tom Hardy was good as Eames, the forger who can turn into another person in a dream; "You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger darling."
All in all the whole idea of dreams inside dreams and being able to extract information and plant an idea in a person's subconscious is original and really interesting.
That's all I can say without giving away the whole plot.

And otherwise I guess I can do a music review too this week, since this is my first blog entry.
What's been on the top charts lately is Willow Smith's "Whip my Hair" .
The song's pretty catchy and Willow can sing really well, so the song itself is good. Actually I have to say that she's pretty cool, though I feel bad, 'cause when she's older she might turn into a Lindsay Lohan or Britney Spears person...
The music video's okay; it features Willow walking into a white room with people eating in white suits, she then sticks the tip of her hair in paint and whips it around turning all of the suits and the walls colorful...
Willow wears really stylish clothes and her hair is awesome! (except for in the beginning when it's shaped as a heart...)
Judge for yourself:

See what I mean?

That's all for now,
Elle

FWI: Pink isn't my favorite color; I'm just happy today :)
